Anthony Davis active, expected to play Wednesday in Los Angeles

Anthony Davis broke his hand just 17 days ago, and he was expected to miss 4-6 weeks. Well, according to Alex Kennedy of HOOPSWORLD, he is ready to go tonight in Los Angeles against the Clippers:

Davis was on an absolute tear before his injury, averaging 18.8 points and 10.2 rebounds. He is showing why he was the number one pick, and the Pelicans were going on an offensive rampage when Ryan Anderson got healthy.

Now, the Pelicans sit at 11-12 on the season, and Davis should have a big impact. Expect them to be careful with his minutes, but his return is not only good for New Orleans, but the entire NBA. The Pelicans had a defensive mess with their starting five before his injury occurred, so they will need to patch up those holes if they want to contend for a playoff spot in the Western Conference. Let’s hope he is fully healed, and that we can see Anthony Davis continue his phenomenal play.
