Oregon Ducks wide receiver Josh Huff has a bit of a beef with Texas co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Major Applewhite. According to the outspoken Oregon receiver, Applewhite was the one who personally informed Huff that he wouldn’t be playing at the University of Texas, a phone call that the Oregon wide receiver hasn’t forgotten even years later.

Per The Oregonian:

[Texas] was my dream school, that’s where I wanted to go since I was little. I had always wanted to put on the burnt orange and white.

[Applewhite] just put it plain-and-simple. He said ‘You are not what we are looking for.’ I took that as you are not good enough, so ever since then, it has just been on a grind and trying to make something happen to prove him wrong.

Huff continued:

I am just taking it personally. I don’t know how everyone else feels about it, but this is a game that I have been waiting for. I always hoped to play Texas in college, and now that I have that chance I’m going to make the best of it.

The Valero Alamo Bowl between the Oregon Ducks and the Texas Longhorns will be played on December 30. Tune in and find out the proper heat at which to serve the dish of revenge!
