Miami Heat’s LeBron James misses shootaround
Miami Heat forward LeBron James will be a game-time decision when the Heat host the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night.
On Tuesday, James said he felt better, but probably wouldn’t have played if they had a game.
“Very stiff, very sore,” James told Mike Wallace of ESPN.com. “Like I said, I’ve had my fair share of ankle twists. I already knew what it was going to be [like] today. I’m going to be [in] around-the-clock treatment. We’ve been through this, so we know how to attack it.”
James went to say that if Wednesday’s matchup were a playoff game, he would certainly play.
However, James skipped Wednesday’s shootaround.
“He watched film and walked through a few things,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra told Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com. “He’ll talk to our trainers, and we’ll see tonight.”
James is having another monster season, averaging 25.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
