According to Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun, the Baltimore Orioles have signed outfielder Xavier Paul to a minor league contract.
Xavier Paul, 28, is LH OFer who had .244/.339/.402 slash in 97 Gs w Reds last yr. ,254 career hitter in 5 MLB seasons w Dodgers/Reds

With that being in mind, the Orioles also made a trade yesterday acquiring outfielder David Lough, so it seems as if they are trying to more depth in that position.
In his career, Paul has played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Cincinnati Reds. Last season with the Cincinnati Reds, he played in 97 games and batted .244 with seven home runs and 32 RBI.
In Paul’s entire career so far, he has a .254 batting average with 12 home runs and 71 RBI. Paul if he makes the big league club can be a valuable asset to the Orioles as he can be a designated hitter and play both corner outfield positions.
