Denver Broncos veteran cornerback Champ Bailey has been plagued by injuries all season long, but he is finally getting healthy and ready to make his return to the team.

While a nagging foot injury has kept him off of the field for all but three games this season, Bailey believes that the rest has done him well.

“I feel good about what I can do,” Bailey said, via the team’s website. “I think now it’s just being smart about how I go about doing it and making sure I don’t have any setbacks and I don’t wear myself down or anything like that. The good thing is I’m fresh, I’m ready to go. I’ve had some time off and I’m ready to go.”

For the Broncos, Bailey’s return couldn’t come at a better time.

There is no doubt that the Broncos defense has been the biggest weakness for the Broncos and could be a hindrance on their potential Super Bowl run, so getting a trusty vet and talented defensive back could go a long way of getting them back on the right track.
