The Denver Broncos are trying to close out the 2013 regular season with the number one seed, a first round bye and home field advantage in their back pockets. But they have to win the next two games in order to make that happen.

They’re coming off a disappointing loss against Phillip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers but were lucky enough to have the Miami Dolphins knock off Tom Brady and the Patriots. Even tho the Chiefs ran over the Oakland Raiders late in their game, Denver still holds the tie breaker over them.

Now a big piece of this offense has been former New England Patriots receiver Wes Welker. Welker recorded almost 800 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns before suffering his concussions. I believe it’s his second or third concussion of the year.

Welker hasn’t been cleared yet, so he missed practice once again today and could be in jeopardy of missing his second straight game on Sunday vs the Houston Texans.
