Jameis Winston takes Heisman Trophy to teammates for pictures, covers up his name

In one of the least surprising Heisman announcements in recent memory, Florida State Seminoles redshirt freshman quarterback Jameis Winston was awarded the coveted trophy for 2013 after leading the ‘Noles to a 13-0 record and an upcoming appearance in the BCS National Championship Game.

While Winston was truly the most outstanding player in college football for this season, it also shouldn’t be overlooked how well the rest of this FSU team has played all year in accomplishing what they have.

Winston knows that as well.

In speaking to the media on Thursday, the freshman told everyone one of the things that he did with the trophy when he returned home from the ceremony in New York City, and it was a gesture–well, multiple gestures actually–that gave his teammates the recognition that he believed they deserved for their efforts, as Ira Schoffel of the Tallahassee Democrat explained:
