He won’t be actually deciding on his future until after the first of the year, but UCLA QB Brett Hundley knows that his name is rapidly making the rounds as the NFL Draft talk begins to heat up now that the college football season is just about over. The junior has drawn a lot of attention from most after another stellar season in Westwood as a redshirt sophomore.
But, one NFL scout believes that Hundley’s decision should be an easy one, and it should be that he stays with the Bruins for one more season.
In speaking to the Los Angeles Times, the scout–speaking on the condition of required anonymity because Hundley has not declared yet–gave reference to a few reasons as to why Hundley should shy away from the professional ranks next season:
“He should stay,” the scout said. “He needs that extra thousand live snaps he’s going to get as a junior, to quicken his eyes and go through his reads in the pocket. He can hone in his accuracy and work on his timing.”
The Bruins’ signal caller is one of the more intriguing names in this year’s draft talk because he has, at times, looked the part of someone ready to come out, while at the same time, he’s displayed some validity to the scout’s above-mentioned comments.
