The Houston Rockets have seemingly decided to keep center Omer Asik for the time being in spite of his desire to be traded and their efforts to move him. General Manager Daryl Morey would like to move Asik, but clearly is not willing to accept just any deal involving the talented center.
The Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics were the teams that were believed to be the most interested in Asik, but the Cleveland Cavaliers were also linked to the third year big man. This could ultimately be a ploy for Morey to force one of the teams interested in the talented Turk to up their offer and get more value in the deal, but there is plenty of team before the trade deadline in February.
Beyond Asik, the Rockets are 17-9 with a game against the Indiana Pacers coming up on Friday.
