San Jose State’s Chandler Jones accepts invite to East-West Shrine Game

The invitations for the East-West Game just keep on rolling in and this time San Jose State wide receiver Chandler Jones has accepted an invitation to play in the game.

When you think of the San Jose State offense you think of David Fales, Noel Grigsby, and Chandler Jones. When Grigsby went down with an injury early in the season, Jones right away became Fales’ favorite target.

This past season, Jones had 79 receptions for 1,356 yards and 15 touchdowns. Over his career, he had 248 receptions for 3,087 yards, and 29 touchdowns.

Only being 5-foot-11 and 174 pounds it will be a struggle for Jones to make it in the NFL but his numbers and production speak for themselves.

On September 21st against Minnesota, Jones had one of his best games of the season. Jones caught seven passes for 197 yards and three touchdowns. The San Jose State Spartans would finish 6-6 on the season.
