‘Tis the season to be jolly, and buy your mom… a house?

Such is the case for Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver Ace Sanders, according to a tweet he composed earlier on Thursday.

It truly is a nice gesture by the Jaguars 2013, 4th round pick out of South Carolina.  While most of the population can’t afford to do such a thing, I’m sure a majority would if they had the means – or something similar anyway.

According to Sam Page at Sports Illustrated, Sanders signed a four-year contract with a $481,448 signing bonus prior to this season.

In his first year as a pro, Sanders has caught 41 passes for 414 yards in 13 games – 5 starts – and caught his first touchdown last week against the Buffalo Bills, for the 4-10 Jaguars.

Sanders caught 45 passes for 531 yards and 9 touchdowns in his final season with the South Carolina Gamecocks in 2012.

Apparently Sanders wanted to buy his mom a house since he was a kid, but was getting some flak for it from some miscreants on the Twittersphere.

Why anyone would hate on that is beyond me, considering there are far worse things one could do with their money.  Good on you Mr. Sanders.
