The Green Bay Packers had high hopes that rookie running back Eddie Lacy would be the man that the team needed in order to turn their running game around and provide some balance to their offensive attack.

When the season first started off, Lacy had the early rookie struggles that included a Week 1 fumble.

However, instead of dwelling on the mistake, Lacy chalked that up as a learning experience and he has not fumbled since.

“The only thing I did was pretty much let myself know when to give up,” Lacy said, via PackersNews.com. “During that play, I tried to get extra yards and had the ball loose and you know it was a mistake on my behalf, so since then I’ve learned in certain situations to give up and go to the next play.”

Lacy was a big part of the Packers win over the Dallas Cowboys last week and he has been a workhorse for the team to help the offense make up for the absence of Aaron Rodgers. If he can continue to take care of the ball and rack up the yards, Green Bay could prove to be a big threat as an NFC Wild Card team if they are able to bring home the necessary wins down the stretch.
