Anthony Pettis shows off post-surgery scars on Instagram

UFC Lightweight Champion, Anthony Pettis, is nursing a PCL injury that required surgery. Unfortunately, the injury will have the champion shelved for quite some time and will likely logjam the division in the coming months. Pettis recently shared his scars with his fans on Instagram:

He also posted a picture of him in a wheelchair post surgery:

The video below is the doctor draining his knee. Fair warning, this may not be suitable for squeamish viewers.

Pettis is 17-2 in his career, with three straight finishes inside the Octagon. In his most recent fight at UFC 164, he defeated Benson Henderson via first round armbar for the UFC Lightweight Championship. He was set to face former StrikeForce Lightweight Champion, Josh Thomson, at UFC on FOX 9, but sustained the knee injury in camp leading up to the fight. Thomson will now battle against former champion, Benson Henderson, at UFC on FOX 10. Hopefully Pettis heals up soon, and we get to see one of the UFC’s most exciting fighters back inside the cage.
