There’s no question that this has been one of the more magical seasons in the long history of Auburn Tigers football. After suffering through a 3-9 campaign in 2012 under Gene Chizik, the team now, one year later, finds themselves in a position to take home their second national championship in four seasons as they get set to take on the top-ranked Florida State Seminoles in Pasadena on Jan. 6.
Maybe even more so than the players, the Auburn fans are enjoying every single second of this run, especially after the horror that they saw last season. They’ve supported this team through the worst of times, and now they’re with them enjoying the best.
For their support, Auburn Athletic Director Jay Jacobs sent out this video, thanking the Auburn faithful for standing with the program and being with them every step of the way on this journey to the Rose Bowl:
This was an incredible gesture by Jacobs, and gives the fans something else they can remember about this amazing year.
