Bobcats' Jeffery Taylor out for the season with ruptured Achilles

The Bobcats have been a pleasant surprise this season. They currently sit at 13-14, and Steve Clifford has this team defending well. They have been without Michael Kidd-Gilchrist for some time now (broken hand), and it seems as if they are going to be thinner on the wing now.

Jeffery Taylor will now miss the entire season after rupturing his Achilles, according to the team. The play occurred on Friday night when the Bobcats took on the Pistons, as Taylor took the ball in the first quarter, and he slipped to the ground. He left the game and did not return, and we now know how bad it really was.

They recently signed Chris Douglas-Roberts from the D-League, and it looks like he will finally get his shot to get some quality minutes in the NBA. Hopefully, the Bobcats keep their head above water until Kidd-Gilchrist returns in January. Taylor averaged eight points for the Bobcats this season. He has worked so hard to stick in the NBA, so hopefully he can recover from this.
