Chicago Bulls small forward Luol Deng will sit for the second straight game due to a sore left Achilles. News of Deng’s status for tonight’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers is from Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau via the Bulls Twitter account.

Thibodeau also stated Bulls shooting guard Kirk Hinrich is a game time decision. Hinrich has been out since December 13th with back issues. The Bulls are on a four-game losing streak since Hinirch went down.
Deng and Hinrich form the core of Chicago’s offense. Deng leads the team in points per game with 19.6, and averages a solid 7.0 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. Hinrich leads the team in assists per game with 5.2, and scores 8.6 points per contest.
Tonight’s game between the Cleveland Cavaliers (10-15) and the Chicago Bulls (9-16) at the United Center in Chicago will be aired live on NBATV at 8 pm ET. If I was a betting man, I would pick the Cavs. However, it is important to not underestimate the ability of Nate Robinson to galvanize the Bulls in these difficult times.
