The big question floating around Green Bay at the moment is when will Aaron Rodgers be back under center leading the team? We know it won’t be this week when the Packers take on the Pittsburgh Steelers but not having Rodgers starting at quarterback isn’t something that is worrying head coach Mike McCarthy this week.

Speaking to reporters this week, McCarthy stated that he thinks the Packers will win on Sunday with Matt Flynn under center instead of Aaron Rodgers.

"“We feel that we can beat Pittsburgh with our football team,” McCarthy said. “We came in here Monday morning preparing to beat Pittsburgh with Matt Flynn, stated that all along. We feel very good about the preparation.”"

Flynn earned a lot of credit last week with his five touchdown performance in a comeback win over the Dallas Cowboys. A lot of people are discounting this due to the fact the performance came against perhaps the worst defense to have ever existed in the NFL, but Flynn got a nice boost of confidence from the win if nothing else.

The Packers need to win out to remain in the playoff hunt and for now Matt Flynn is the guy leading the charge. Green Bay would love to have Rodgers back but with Flynn being their only option at the moment, McCarthy really has nothing else to say other than he supports Flynn and thinks his team can win behind his arm.
