Pre-game warmup photo of Charles Webb and Mamadou Ndiaye

Check out this photo of Denver guard Charles Webb and UC Irvine center Mamadou Ndiaye, courtesy of @BigWestMD:

Charles Webb is listed at 5′ 4″ and Mamadou Ndiaye is listed at 7′ 6″.  That is a huge height differential!  Good thing basketball is a team game because I don’t think Webb would have a chance if the two players squared off mono y mono.

Ndiaye is averaging 8.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 3.3 blocks per game for the 6-0 Anteaters.  He is from Dakar, Senegal, and played high school basketball at Brethren Christian in Huntington Beach, CA.  Ndiaye is only a freshman, and should probably stay in college a couple more years to make sure his body is ready for the NBA.  He will be the tallest player on any court, but the physicality of the next level is more than his skill set can handle at this time.

Webb has only played in one game this year for the 5-5 Pioneers.

The Denver Pioneers and the UC Irvine Anteaters are squaring off right now at Magness Arena in Denver, Colorado.  The picture was taken by Steven Chen during the pre-game warmup.
