Washington State (6-6, 4-5 Pac-12) was up by two scores at halftime, but Colorado State (7-6, 5-3 Mountain West) has clawed its way back in a game that has turned into an offensive slugfest.

Cougars’ junior quarterback Connor Halliday has thrown five touchdown passes so far, entering the fourth quarter, and has gone 25-of-43 for 308 yards and an interception.

Halliday’s fifth TD pass came in the second quarter—yes he had 5 scoring throws in the first half – on a 3-yard strike to Rickey Galvin.

The score put Washington State up 35-13 with 2:48 remaining in the half, but Colorado State managed another score and a field goal before the clock ran down, bringing them to within 35-23 headed into the locker room.

Colorado State quarterback Garrett Grayson has gone 21-of-34 for 290 yards with a touchdown and an interception.  Running back Kapri Bibbs leads all rushers with 20 carries for 143 yards and two touchdowns.

Cougars’ wide receiver River Cracraft has 5 catches for 96 yards and a score.

Surprisingly, given the scoring, Colorado State has outgained Washington State by a large margin.  Entering the fourth, the Rams have 477 yards to the Cougars 288.  Something tells me the offensive production isn’t quite done in this one, however.
