The Denver Broncos got quite a scare this afternoon when linebacker Von Miller went down with an apparent knee injury.

Miller was able to leave the field under his own power – though was obviously quite tentative in doing so. Despite that, the hope was that Miller had avoided serious injury considering he was able to put pressure on the leg.

The Broncos quickly ruled their star linebacker out for the remainder of the game, understandable since they’re looking for Miller to be healthy come the postseason. But that might be wishful thinking as according to the Denver Post, members of the Broncos organization believe the linebacker may have suffered a ‘significant’ injury:

"There is concern the injury is significant, although no determination will be made until after the tests. Miller suffered the injury in the second defensive series of the Broncos’ game here today against the Houston Texans."

Miller will undergo testing on Monday morning to reveal the nature of the injury.

One could likely presume no matter the diagnosis, the team will keep Miller off the field in Week 17 to fully heal for a postseason run – assuming the injury isn’t season ending.
