The Philadelphia Flyers continue to get hit hard with injuries. The latest bite from the injury bug comes to defenseman Erik Gustafsson, who was injured over the weekend against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The injury came in the third period of the team’s 6-3 loss.
Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren announced on Sunday that Gustafsson would miss at least two weeks due to a knee sprain.
This season, Gustafsson has played in 20 games, where he has two goals and five assists for seven points.
This is Gustafsson’s fourth year in the NHL and all of his seasons have come as a member of the Flyers organization.
