Texas A&M star freshman Darian Claiborne arrested

Texas A&M has suspended star freshman linebacker Darian Claiborne after being arrested this afternoon on dual drug possession charges.

The arrest occurred Sunday around 3 p.m. Claiborne was released later on in the day after posting bond. ESPN cited the Brazos County Jail website in stating that he was arrested on charges of possession of a dangerous drug and possession of under two ounces of marijuana.

The suspension means that Claiborne will miss the December 31st Chick-Fil-A Bowl game against the Duke Blue Devils.
