If your league is packing it in for the offseason, it may be worth one last spin through the waiver wire to see if you can help your team for next season. Many leagues use a keeper system where some players from each year are “kept” and carried over to next year. Make sure to understand your league since each league has its own nuances and there are many different ways to make the system work.
If you can keep any player on your roster, here are a few names that may have been dropped due to injury that might be worth considering grabbing off the wire if you can keep them next year. They are listed in the general order that I’d add them, but depending on your league’s scoring you may need to adjust a bit. If you have specific keeper questions, you can always find me @ZT_Sports on twitter.
Julio Jones-WR-Atlanta Falcons
Arian Foster-RB-Houston Texans
Rob Gronkowski-TE-New England Patriots
Randall Cobb-WR-Green Bay Packers
Wes Welker-WR-Denver Broncos
Robert Griffin III-QB-Washington Redskins
Reggie Wayne-WR-Indianapolis Colts
David Wilson-RB-New York Giants
Percy Harvin-WR-Seattle Seahawks
Jeremy Maclin-WR-Philadelphia Eagles
All these players carry some risk, but they have upside enough that you might as well have them on your roster during the offseason to give you more options for your keeper pick next season.
