The San Diego Chargers were able to defeat the Oakland Raiders in Week 16, to keep pace in the AFC Wild Card picture and continue their pursuit of the No. 6 seed in the playoffs. San Diego will need to take care of business themselves with a win over the division rival Kansas City Chiefs, who they beat a few weeks ago, along with getting some help from around the league.

San Diego will know whether or not they will have a chance at making the postseason by the time they kick off, so there could be some scoreboard watching before the game.

There is only one way for the Chargers to find themselves extending their season past the regular season and it isn’t very complicated.

Here is how the Chargers will be able to clinch the No. 6 seed in the AFC playoffs:

  •  San Diego Chargers win over Kansas City Chiefs + Baltimore Ravens loss to Cincinnati Bengals + Miami Dolphins loss to New York Jets.
