Among the hoopla for UFC 168′s main and co-main event, it is easy for the other fights to slip through the cracks. That being said, the entire card is stacked top to bottom with intriguing matchups and pivotal battles. One such matchup is the prelims headliner where TUF 17 runner up, Uriah Hall, takes on TUF 1 alum, Chris Leben.
Hall’s hype train has almost completely derailed since his time on TUF 17. After losing to Kelvin Gastelum in the Finale in a fight many believed he should have one, Hall rebounded with a loss to John Howard in another disappointing fight. Dana White gave Hall one more shot in the UFC, and that comes this Saturday night against Leben.
Chris Leben has been a fan favorite for years with his personality, fighting style, and underdog story. Unfortunately, Leben has lost three in a row, and is 1-4 in his last 5. For most fighters, that would mean their walking papers. Dana White and the UFC have noted multiple times that they care for Leben, and he is treated differently than others. That being said, the fight on Saturday night is likely Leben’s last chance to keep his job secure.
Leading up to the fight, Leben has released a short video documenting his life before he gets set to battle inside the Octagon. In the video below, watch Chris Leben train and prepare for his fight with Uriah Hall this coming weekend. Be aware that the video does have some graphic language, so viewer discretion is advised:
