Adoree Jackson is the top recruit in the state of California and the No. 7 player in the 247Sports composite rankings and has kept his recruitment close to the vest, but a recent commitment to the USC Trojans from a high school teammate could ‘seal the deal’ for Jackson.
According to 247Sports recruiting insider Justin Hopkins, “This weekend the Trojans made a move when they earned a commitment from quarterback Jalen Greene. This could be a key factor with arguably their top target, Adoree’ Jackson. The two are close friends and Greene’s commitment might seal the deal for USC.”
Jackson is the No. 2 cornerback recruit in the nation and could also play wide receiver in college. In addition to being one of the top athletes in the country, Jackson is also a state champion in the long jump and has aspirations of competing in the Olympics.
USC was the last school to host Jackson on a visit when he took an unofficial visit on the weekend of Dec. 14 and have all the momentum over his other finalists Florida, LSU, Florida State, Tennessee and UCLA.
Jackson has recorded 17 interceptions over his final three seasons at Juniperro Serra and will play in the Under Armour All-American game on Jan. 2 and plans to announce his college choice on national signing day in February.
