As he prepares for one of the biggest rematches in UFC history, former middleweight champion Anderson Silva arrived to Las Vegas with a star-studded entourage. Silva arrived with the usual suspects – Ramon Lemos, Pedro Rizzo, Rogerio Camoes, André Galvão and Rafael Cavalcante – but there were also some worldwide celebrities in the mix.
According to MMA Junkie, Silva was also in the company of recording artist Usher and former Brazilian soccer star Ronaldo, who has now turned to sports marketing.
“I have not talked about it yet,” says Silva. “It is the first time I’m commenting on this. This is one of the things that we change. Our team had a lot of people with different thoughts. Although it was not the reason why I lost, from that we analyzed what was good and what was bad, so we decided to change it.”
Following his loss to current champion Chris Weidman in the summer, Silva was spotted with Usher before and after the fight, but apparently their relationship has grown since then.
Of course, the star power in his corner will not help him once he enters the octagon against Weidman on Dec. 28, but it is certainly interesting. As long as Silva doesn’t add Justin Bieber and Lil Wayne to his entourage, we can continue to appreciate his choices.
However, we have to wonder what happened to Master Steve Seagal.
