The San Francisco 49ers closed out Candlestick Park with a 34-24 win over the Atlanta Falcons to secure a postseason berth and the fans in attendance were treated to Boyz II Men singing It’s so Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday after the final regular season game in the park.

As someone who is ole enough to remember the 1991 debut album Cooleyhighharmony from Boyz II Men this is just too awesome. The only thing that could possibly top the 49ers clinching a postseason berth and Boyz II Men singing this song is if they were to sing End of the Road…

Shades of my middle school days are flashing before my eyes going down memory lane with a fitting tribute from the guys who brought us Motown Philly and On Bended Knee back in the day.

With many tributes including Joe Montana’s touchdown pass to Dwight Clark being celebrated at halftime and Steve Young throwing a touchdown to Jerry Rice in the pregame Candlestick Park was full of great trips down memory lane.

Adding Boys II Men in the mix is just icing on the cake.
