Ohio State Buckeyes to wear alternate jerseys in Orange Bowl vs. Clemson (Video)

They won’t be making an appearance in the final BCS National Championship Game like they had hoped, but the Ohio State Buckeyes and Urban Meyer are still BCS bound after their 12-1 season.

The Big 10 Championship Game loss to the Michigan State Spartans knocked them out of contention to play the Florida State Seminoles, but they were still able to secure a slot in the Orange Bowl, where they will take on the Clemson Tigers of the ACC.

This should be a great match up between two teams who love to show off their athleticism. So many storylines in this one. Braxton Miller vs. Tajh Boyd. Sammy Watkins vs. the Ohio State secondary. Carlos Hyde against a very good Clemson defensive line.

Yes, this should indeed be a good one, and for the occasion, the Buckeyes will once again break out their alternate uniforms, which they’ve worn three times this season.

Recently, the school announced the decision to wear the alternates via a video, which also shows the Orange Bowl patch being sewn on:
