Cleveland Browns‘ wide receiver Josh Gordon leads the NFL in receiving yards. He had been especially good in the second half of the season and has set several team records.
Gordon is happy with all of that, but he has bigger goals.
“Hands down, just be outright the best wide receiver in the NFL,” Gordon told the Associated Press.
The Browns took the second-year pro and former Baylor Bear in the supplemental draft and that has obviously paid dividends.
Although Gordon admits he’s had his struggles lately, he’s very pleased with his individual season.
“I think I did pretty well, considering the circumstances and what I wanted to get done,” he said. “I think I met every expectation I could have had. Maybe I could have made a few more plays here or there, little things. I think I did all right.”
Gordon now has 1,564 yards and nine touchdowns on 80 receptions this season. He also has 88 yards on five rushing attempts.
The Browns will finish their season Sunday when they travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers.
