The Cavaliers haven’t had the kind of season they hoped they would coming into the year, but they still have talent, and the East is bad enough for them to make the playoffs.
Speaking of that talent, on Thursday night against the Hawks, Kyrie Irving is showing why he was an all-star last season. In the play above, Irving draws the defense in, and he kicks it to Anderson Varejao for the finish in the lane. It’s a nice play, and if Irving can make plays for others, then the Cavs can improve as a team.
This game is close in the third quarter, and Irving currently has nine points and four assists, but Jeff Teague is showing him up with 12 points and seven assists.
