Following their big win over the Northern Illinois Huskies in the MAC Title Game, the Bowling Green Falcons were out to make a point on Thursday night in the Little Caesars Bowl against the Pitt Panthers of the Atlantic Coast Conference that they’re for real.
It’s been a tight game throughout, and the Falcons have not yet wavered, not even late in the fourth quarter.
After the Pitt Panthers went up by seven following a Chad Voytik touchdown run, the Falcons got the ball back and quarterback Matt Johnson went right to work again.
Johnson led a nine-play, 75 yard drive that Johnson capped off with this 15 yard touchdown strike to Tyler Tate, to tie everything up at 27:
This was another showing of the tenacity that this Bowling Green team brings to the table, which is why they’ve been so successful this season.
Unfortunately, though, they weren’t able to hold on to this one, as the Panthers have just put the game away after a field goal, to take the contest, 30-27.
