Vitor Belfort wants winner of Weidman vs. Silva II

As the mixed martial arts world is eagerly awaiting the winner of the UFC 168 main event between middleweight champion Chris Weidman and former champ Anderson Silva, there is one man who will be sitting cage side hoping that he is getting a look at his future opponent.

If Vitor Belfort gets his way, he will be facing the winner of the UFC 168 main event in early 2014.

“I don’t care who will win on Saturday, because whoever wins will already be preparing to lose,” Belfort said, via MMAjunkie.com. “That belt belongs to me.

“I conquered my space. I wanted the opportunity to fight for the belt, and here I am. The one thing the fans wanted to see is me getting the title shot. Now I am more than ready to be a world champion in another division.”

After an incredible 2013 campaign where he headkicked everyone the UFC put in front of him, Belfort has every reason to want the title shot.

Luckily for him, it would be a huge shock if UFC president Dana White does not grant Belfort with the title shot after Saturday night, because that is the fight that everyone would like to see.
