Tennessee Titans strong safety Bernard Pollard is headed to free agency this spring and he could be a top target for a team looking to improve their secondary. Pollard is also coming off one if his best seasons with a career-best 134 tackles this season and three interceptions.

Pollard has expressed a desire to return to the Titans however.

“I do want to come back, but some things have to be done right for me to be here,” Pollard said Thursday, via John Glennon of The Tennessean.

Pollard didn’t elaborate on what those “things” are. He did express a fondness for head coach Mike Munchak and he could be what Pollard is hinting at. Munchak is on the hot seat and could be headed towards his own free agency period of sorts.

“I love coach Munchak,” Pollard said. “But all-round, things need to be done correctly for us to be successful.”
