Browns T.J. Ward returns to practice, looks likely for Steelers

Cleveland Browns safety T.J. Ward returned to practice after not participating yesterday.  The Browns personal relations department corrected the report that Ward missed it due to a shoulder injury, saying he missed practice due to an illness.  They still acknowledged his shoulder hurts, but just made it clear he missed due to the illness.  Ward has been battling a shoulder issue all year and has occasionally missed practice to rest it so he could play in games.

As a result, Ward’s status for Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers looks far more likely.  Ward is hoping to get a new contract from the Browns and is certainly hoping to go out on a high note in Pittsburgh to make sure that happens.  He is also hoping to put the finishing touches on what he believes has been a Pro Bowl season.

The Browns look like they will be shorthanded this week against Pittsburgh, missing a number of key players, but Ward looks like he will be able to play unless he has some sort of physical setback before Sunday.
