With the release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier a mere just over 3 months away, it is no surprise that we are starting to see his patriotic face in more and more places. This time, it is the February issue of Empire Magazine.
The February issue, which is meant to kick off their 25th Anniversary celebration, features two different covers bearing the Captain’s likeness.
The regular edition of the magazine offers a simple look at Captain America, who is played in the film by Chris Evans, dressed as if he is ready for battle. He has his trusty shield lowered in front of him, ready should he need it for anything.
There is also a special Limited Edition Collector’s Cover that features a few of Cap’s friends. Cap is positioned in the same manner as he is on the cover of the regular edition; however, to his right is Natasha Romanoff, also known as Black Widow, who is played by Scarlett Johansson in the film. To his other side is his former best friend Bucky Barnes, who has been altered and is now The Winter Soldier.
In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Steve Rogers is continuing to have difficulties adjusting to his role in modern society, and he is not exactly embracing the ideals of the S.H.I.E.L.D. initiative. Suddenly, he comes face to face with a new threat, a Soviet Agent known as the Winter Soldier.
Here is a look at the two covers that will be gracing the February issue of Empire Magazine.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is scheduled to be released April 4, 2014.
