The final bowl game on Saturday brings us a match up between two 7-5 teams in the Michigan Wolverines of the Big Ten Conference and the Kansas State Wildcats of the Big 12 Conference.
Michigan got off to a strong start to their year, winning their first five before dropping a four-overtime thriller to Penn State. From there, they were the model of inconsistency throughout the rest of the year, however they came within a few inches of beating the rival Ohio State Buckeyes in the final game of the regular season.
It was announced on Friday, though, that Michigan will be without starting, Devin Gardner, and true freshman Shane Morris will start in his place.
Kansas State got off to a rather shaky start as they came in as the reigning Big 12 champs, losing their opener to FCS power North Dakota State. With some quarterback juggling throughout the season, though, they were able to get enough together to grab their seven wins on the year.
