In what has the potential to be the best bowl game of Saturday afternoon, the 11-1 Louisville Cardinals of the American Athletic Conference take on the 9-3 Miami Hurricanes of the Atlantic Coast Conference. It’s a match up between two schools that will be conference foes beginning in 2014 when the Cardinals will make the move to the ACC.
Right in the very beginning, the Hurricanes put Louisville on notice that things will not be easy in their new home, and it came at the expense of the Cardinals’ star QB, Teddy Bridgewater.
Less than four minutes into the game, Louisville was backed up near their own end zone. Bridgewater dropped back into the end zone, and was immediately met by Miami’s Deon Bush for the two points, and the early lead in this showdown:
Definitely not the way Louisville wanted to get this one started out. With many questioning the strength of their schedule this season, a win over this Miami team would gain them at least a little bit more credibility.
Although, we saw how well that stuck following their Sugar Bowl win over Florida last season.
