Batman vs. Superman: Bryan Cranston to play Lex Luthor?

When Breaking Bad was going off the air back at the end of September, Bryan Cranston name couldn’t have been hotter. He was on the best show on television and was a name fanboys were hammering into the ground when it came to the role of Lex Luthor in Batman vs. Superman.

The rumors have since died down significantly but AMC movie editor John Campea, who notoriously went on a rant against sites that scoop rumors, tweeted out a rumor that Bryan Cranston is back in as Lex Luthor in Batman vs. Superman.

Campea attempts to cover himself by saying his scoop isn’t a scoop, but it’s coming across heavily like a  scoop and one that fanboys have been clamoring for since September.

He circles back to the rumors reported by Latino-Review from a few months ago that Cranston was in as Luthor but erases that by saying when it was reported by El Mayimbe it wasn’t true but it’s worth reporting now.

This isn’t the first time that we’ve heard Cranston rumored as Lex Luthor and it won’t be the last. But until we hear official word from Warner Bros, there’s no saying who will be playing Lex Luthor or in what capacity he will appear in the Man of Steel sequel.
