Eric Gordon missed significant time last season with injuries, and his goal was to play all 82 games this season. Well, it looks like Gordon will have to move on to the next goal.
According to the AP, Gordon will miss Saturday night’s game against the Rockets with a hip contusion, and he could miss more time with this injury. He also missed Friday night’s game against the Nuggets, and the injury occurred Monday night against the Kings.
The Pelicans are one of those teams that has plenty of talent, but can’t get it to work just yet. They were finally starting to roll when Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson were playing together, but Davis broke his hand, and they dropped off. Now, Davis is back, but Gordon will miss some time, which is a big blow. Gordon is averaging 15.4 points per game this season, and Anthony Morrow has been starting in his place.
The injury bug seems to be everywhere this season, and the league is hurting because of it.
