Jalen Tabor (Washington D.C. Friendship Academy) is scheduled to announce his college decision at the Jan. 2 Under Armour All-American game.

Tabor took his official visit to Arizona on Nov. 15 and his last official visit was to Alabama on Dec. 13. At 6-1 and and 182-pounds, Tabor has excellent length and is one of the more instinctive corners in the 2014 class.

ESPN.com’s national recruiting analyst Gerry Hamilton tweeted that Tabor will be among the many elite recruits who will use the Jan. 2 All-American Game as the platform to announce his college choice.

Tabor is a five-star cornerback according to 247Sports composite rankings and the No. 4 cornerback in the nation. ESPN ranks him as the No. 15 overall player while the 247 composite has him at No. 24.

The local Maryland Terrapins had hoped Tabor would be their signature recruit this year like Stefon Digg a couple years ago when he stayed close to home, but that won’t be the case now as Tabor is headed to either the Crimson Tide or Wildcats.

I think he’s headed to Alabama where Nick Saban would be his position coach and play at a position where Alabama has produced some recent first round picks in the NFL draft.

If Alabama is successful in landing No. 1 cornerback and Alabama legacy, Marlon Humphrey as well as Tabor, the Crimson Tide secondary will be tough to throw against for the foreseeable future.
