Josh Freeman has interest in returning to Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings quarterback carousal continues to spin as we enter the final week of the NFL’s regular season.

With the team still seemingly undecided about Matt Cassel, Christian Ponder and Josh Freeman – it’s unknown how the team will move forward with their signal caller in 2014.

Regardless of a roster crunch at the quarterback position, Josh Freeman is interested in returning as he recently told the St. Paul Pioneer Press:

‘I definitely have interest in coming back, for sure,” Freeman said. “It’s a great organization, a great team.”

Why wouldn’t he, in all honesty? Freeman, who signed a one-year, $2 million dollar deal earlier this year doesn’t exactly have teams lighting up his phone hoping to obtain his services, let alone willing to give him a starting opportunity.

That’s not to say he’d get such with the Vikings in 2014, but he seems to think he may.

Interested in returning or not, both Cassel and Ponder are under contract for next season and unless one of the two are moved, it’s doubtful the Vikings will bring back Freeman.

As of right now …we still have no idea what we have in freeman ?.. Now that he has 2mnths to study

I think given he hasn’t even dressed since his terrible game against the Giants it’s pretty obvious what we have in him. With how bad the QB situation is if a guy isn’t even dressing he has to be doing pretty bad in practice.

I guess you were expecting more from him after 4days of practice?? It’s been said by many people that was not a good stiuation for any QB …not to mention you give the coaching staff a lot of credit regarding his practice and weather or not he should be suited or not ?.. They also are credited with Ponder that’s not saying much …seriously wouldn’t you like to see him now that he has a few month in the system

Actually he did about as well as I expected in that game. He was completely set up to fail against the Giants. With how bad Ponder has played and is still dressing instead of Freeman to me says Freeman is doing extremely poor. If there was any faith in him being the QB they would have let him play the last two or three games to see if he could be the starter next year.

Would have liked to see his potential sometime during the year. Think he could be good again under the right direction.

That’s exactly what I’m saying Lisa …not to mention not to many other teams will be interested for this same reason
