LeBron James doesn’t miss a lot of time with injury. When he gets hurt, he falls to the ground with great fanfare, and it seems as if he has suffered a career-ending injury, but he usually gets up and continues to play.
The NBA is getting a marquee match up on Saturday night, as the red hot Portland Trail Blazers will square off against the Miami Heat. It seems as the game will lose some of it’s luster, as LeBron James will miss the game due to a groin injury, according to the team.
If anything, this is just a case of Miami being cautious, and they know it’s about May and June–not about December. They are coming off of a loss against the Kings on Friday night, so this is also a case of a guy getting some time to rest on a second night of a back-to-back. Chris Andersen is also out for the Heat, and Ray Allen will play.
