The Brooklyn Nets already have a rash of problems and they’re reportedly not interested in adding another to the mix, this according to NBA.com’s David Aldridge who says the team isn’t interested in trading for Andrew Bynum.
Suspended indefinitely by the Cleveland Cavaliers early Saturday morning, Bynum is likely to be traded in the coming days/weeks (or possibly released if no suitors are found) but it won’t be to the Nets who don’t have any desire to bring the talented though oft-injured talent aboard:
And, in case you were curious: Nets have no interest in Bynum.
The Nets would make some sense – at least from an on-court capacity considering the team lost starting center Brook Lopez for the season recently. However, adding Bynum’s salary would only make the Nets’ record luxury tax grow and the results likely wouldn’t be worth the hefty investment.
Despite a lack of interest from the Nets, Bynum does appear to have interested suitors so Cleveland does look like they’ll have an opportunity to trade their big man.
