Did he or did he not? That’s been the question surrounding Philadelphia 76ers forward Thaddeus Young for weeks now after reports came out and suggested the former Georgia Teach talent requested a trade.
For what it’s worth, Young didn’t admit to doing such but according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports, Young did indeed make a ‘soft’ trade request and says you can expect the forward to be traded:
Well, expect Thaddeus Young to be gone as soon as possible. I know he’s kind of made a ‘soft request’ to get moved. He hasn’t pushed the button saying he needs to get moved now, but from what I hear he’s not really excited about this whole rebuilding thing with the Sixers.
Spears does continue on saying that Young is being ‘respectful’ about the request and will continue to play hard, but just that he would like a change of scenery.
If Philadelphia does opt to move the young forward, they certainly wouldn’t have a shortage of suitors as it’s likely teams would be lining up to trade for the talented 25-year-old.
