New Orleans Pelicans at Houston Rockets final score: Rockets beat Pelicans 107-98

The Houston Rockets defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 107-98 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.  The Rockets improved to 21-11, and the Pelicans fell to 13-15.

The Pelicans led the Rockets 92-88 after an Anthony Davis two-pointer with 4:54 left in the game.  Over the final 4:11, the Rockets scorched the Pelicans with a 19-6 run to end the game.

The game remained close after Al-Farouq Aminu hit a three to bring the Pelicans within three points of the Rockets with 1:01 to go.  Houston scored the final six points, including four points by James Harden, to put the contest out of reach.

Rockets top performers: Dwight Howard had a monster double with 24 points and 18 boards.  James Harden scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two assists.  Chandler Parsons netted 19 points, grabbed seven boards, and dropped four dimes.  Terrence Jones finished with 17 points and eight rebounds.   Jeremy Lin added ten points and five assists.

Pelicans top performers: Ryan Anderson and Anthony Davis both registered impressive double-doubles.  Anderson scored 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, and Davis scored 18 points and grabbed 16 rebounds.  Tyreke Evans netted 16 points and dished out nine assists.  Al-Farouq Aminu added 12 points, and Jason Smith netted 10 points.

Next game: The Rockets play at Oklahoma City tomorrow at 7 pm ET on NBATV. The Pelicans play the Trail Blazers on Monday at 8 pm ET.
