Right now, the Pinstripe Bowl is half way finished. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Rutgers Scarlet Knights are all tied up at 13 point a piece.
Notre Dame is leading in most of the offensive categories, aside from rushing, where they are just a few yards behind. Notre Dame QB Tommy Rees has completed 15 of 29 passes for 172 yards, with no touchdowns or interceptions.
The Fighting Irish’s receiving corps has spread the ball around quite a lot, with nine players catching at least one ball. Leading the team is wide receiver TJ Jones, who has four catches for 52 yards. Jones however, does have the lone touchdown for Notre Dame, which came on a rushing play from eight yards out.
For the Scarlet Knights, quarterback Chas Dodd has completed only five of 14 passes, for a combined 99 yards, with one touchdown and one interception. Dodd completed a touchdown pass to Brandon Coleman from 14 yards out. Coleman has just two receptions for a combined 65 yards.
Dodd also leads the team in rushing with four carries for 39 yards.
With another half left to play, it is unsure how the game will pan out. Rutgers has been struggling offensively, with two total interceptions and just five completions in the first half. However, they have found a way to keep it tied up though two quarters.
