Stephen Curry almost has triple double at halftime

Stephen Curry deserved a halftime rest because he smoked the Phoenix Suns for 14 points, nine assists, and nine rebounds in the first half.  Curry got the triple double with a rebound at 10:07 in the third quarter.

Curry is one of the best point guards in the NBA.  He averages 23.6 points, 9.3 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per contest.  Curry’s primary targets for assists are David Lee, Andre Iguodala, Klay Thompson, and Harrison Barnes.

Curry and Klay Thompson create the best three-ball tandem in the NBA.  Curry hits 41.6% from downtown, and Thompson hits 41.9%.  No lead is safe against the Warriors.  However, I am a big believer that “if you live by the three, you die by the three.”  David Lee and Andrew Bogut provide a nice inside presence for the Warriors, but they are not the primary scorers in most game situations.  Curry and Thompson take a lot of shots aways from Lee and Bogut, which may hurt the Warriors in the playoffs.

The Warriors are currently seventh in the Western Conference standings at 17-13. To give you an idea of how much better the Western Conference is than the Eastern Conference, the Warriors would be the third best team in the East.
