Announced by himself on Friday, USC center Marcus Martin will skip his final year of eligibility to enter into the NFL Draft. From ESPN,
“I will not be coming back for the 2014 season,” Martin said on his Instagram account. “I have decided to move on to the NFL and declare for the draft. Thank you Trojan Family for all that you’ve done for me! This will be a season I will never forget as long as I live and I wanna thank the coaches, my teammates and the fans for all that we’ve endured as a family! I am and always be a Trojan for life.”
Martin is a center, and centers aren’t usually drafted very often each year. Only five players from that position were taken in last year’s draft. Martin is projected by NFL scouts as the second best center in this upcoming draft class.
What do you think? How high will Martin be drafted, and who do you think will wind up with the former Trojan?
