The Seattle Seahawks (13-3) clinched the NFC’s No. 1 seed throughout the playoffs and with it a first round bye and home field advantage with their 27-9 victory over the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

Seattle is 7-1 at home this season and were 8-0 at CenturyLink in 2012.  It’s safe to say playing there is not an easy task.

The San Francisco 49ers (12-4) also won today with a last-second Phil Dawson field goal that sent them to a 23-20 victory over the Arizona Cardinals – who beat the Seahawks in Seattle a week ago, handing them their first loss at CenturyLink since 2011 – and clinched the NFC’s 5th seed.

If Seattle had lost and the 49ers won, San Francisco would have claimed the NFC West title and the Seahawks would be on the road for their first playoff game, essentially flipping the script.  But, both teams got their respective jobs done and here we are.

Well, one of the more well-known 49ers’ mantras under head coach Jim Harbaugh, “Who’s got it better than us? Nobody!”, is widely circulated at this point.

For those that haven’t seen it, check it out below:

2nd-year Seattle defensive end Bruce Irvin took it upon himself to mock the saying on Twitter following today’s events.

There has been no shortage of ribbing and trash talk from both teams – and fans — in this ever-growing rivalry.  This is sure to ruffle a few feathers, so I guess you can add it to the list.
